Bhutanese/Nepalese community members attended a Christmas celebration party at a local church in West Springfield, Massachusetts, USA on December 27, 2009. Videos were recorded by Mr. Shahid Pasha, a Pakistani-American, who loves Bhutanese and Nepalese people and their culture. This party was organized by Lutheran Social Services, located at 593 Main Street, West Springfield, Massachusetts 01089, USA, and was held in Emmanual Baptist Church, located at 38 Front Street, West Springfield, Massachusetts. Mr. Ram Rai who works for Lutheran Social Services, Pastor Ashok Rai, his sister Jashu Rai and Pastor Dhun (of Boston area) organized this party very well. Senior leaders of Bhutanese/Nepalese community, Mr. Hari Khanal, President of BTM (Bhutanese Trust of Massachusetts), Mr. Hari Ghourshai (of Westfield) and Mr. Ram Koirala (of West Springfield) also attended this party. Hundreds of Bhutanese/Nepalese refugees resettled in West Springfield, Springfield, Westfield, Southwick and other cities attended the party. Guests were served food, drinks and fruit at the end of the party. Transport was provided to those who needed it. It was the first Chritmas party celebrated in the area by resettled Bhutanese/Nepalese community. This party ended in less than three hours but it was a great party and every one seemed to be very happy.
